Liverpool are closing on a summer move for Brazilian forward Luan, according to reports.
The Anfield outfit have been monitoring the striker’s situation for a couple of months and is understood that they will complete his signing soon.
Reports in The Mirror have it that Jurgen Klopp have asked Liverpool to seal a £26million deal for Luan after agreeing personal terms with the player.
The 24-year-old who has been dubbed the ‘new Ronaldinho’, has also had his head turned at the prospects of playing in the Premier League with Liverpool and has refused to renew a his deal at Brazilian side, Gremio which could force the club to cash out on him if they receive the right offer.
It is understood Luan’s agent Gianni Losito and his business adviser Jair Peixoto flew to London last April to discuss a possible summer move to Liverpool.
The striker is famed as the next big thing in Brazil due to his versatility, having the ability to play as a striker and the number 10 position. Luan has netted 43 goals in 174 matches for Gremio
