Manchester United, Liverpool In Hot Pursuit For Top Assist Provider

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas is a subject of transfer interest from Manchester United and Liverpool this summer, according to reports.

The Spanish midfielder has been tipped to leave Chelsea this summer due to his lack of chances under Antonio Conte, who has preferred the midfield partnership of N’Golo Kante and Nemanja Matic in his 3-4-3 formation, sparking speculations that several clubs are ready to pounce on his signature.

Reports in Italian outlet Calciomercato claim that Fabregas is being pursued by United and Liverpool as the midfielder begins to look for his next club this summer. AC Milan have also been credited with an interest for the 29-year-old.

The former Arsenal captain joined Barcelona after years been a fan favourite at the Emirates but failed to nail a starting place at the Camp Nou due to the brilliance in the squad. The Spaniard returned to the Premier League with Chelsea, helping them to a league title under former boss Jose Mourinho who was sacked after failing to repeat their title winning feats the following season.

Fabregas has struggled to get games under Antonio Conte this season despite showing his passing accuracy in the few appearances for the Blues, sparking suggestions that the Italian boss prefers the physicality of Matic and Kante
