Not Bakayoko – Manchester United Trying To Get €59million Star Player For Midfield Role

One of the most successful coaches in the footballing world is Portuguese tactician Jose Mourinho. He has been at different football clubs in different countries and has made a mark in each league. And it is known that in the different teams he had managed over the years, he always had at least one solid defensive midfielder in his teams.

However, currently coaching Manchester United in England, he still lack a solid defensive midfielder at the Old Trafford club.

Mourinho has managed solid defensive midfielders like Makelele, Essien and Matic during his time with Chelsea. And when he was still coach at Inter Milan, he had Cambiasso, and at Real Madrid, the duo of Diarra and Khedira.

He sold Morgan Schneiderlin to Everton in the last winter window and he now needs a new DM in his United team.

It was reported recently that the Portuguese coach is looking to sign Toni Kroos. And in recent times also, Monaco star Tiemoue Bakayoko was linked with the Old Trafford club.

Presently, a new name is in the lime light in the person of Portuguese international and FC Porto star Danilo Pereira.

And Portuguese news outlet A Bola stated that Manchester United representatives recently traveled to Portugal to monitor the performance of Danilo for the Primeira Liga side. It was also speculated that even Liverpool are interested in the 25-year-old defensive midfielder who, according to the Daily Star, has a release clause of €59million in his contract.

United already have creative midfield stars such as Ander Herrera and also record signing Paul Pogba. So we think they do not really need a player like Kroos.

Mourinho needs a play breaker and must not hesitate to spend money to lure either Bakayoko or Danilo in the upcoming summer transfer window.
