Why Arsenal defence will not get better with latest move by Medhi Benatia

Efforts by the English Premier League outfit Arsenal to strengthen their defence has yet to yield any result as a major target and Italian Serie A outfit Juventus central defender Medhi Benatia will reject a move to English League, according to reports.

It is claimed that Medhi Benatia will defiantly be leaving the Old Lady before the end of this month but has decided to move to Qatar before the end of this January winter transfer window.

Medhi Benatia is no longer a regular at Turin and that is uncomfortable for him to sit on the bench which is the reason why he seeks to leave the club in this winter window.

The North London outfit are also desperate to land a defender with the hope that they can win the signature for Medhi Benatia and take advantage of the fact that he is unsettled at the club.

Qatar side Al Duhail are understood to be favourites to land the Morocco international as contacts have already been established between the two parties, reports claim.

However, the Gunners will be left with no choice than to give another try, having lost Sokratis Papastathopoulous, Laurent Koscielny, Rob Holding and Hector Bellerin to different degrees of injury.
