United ready for transfer fight for £128m Atletico Madrid star

A number of clubs including Man City have been linked with a move for Spanish La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid star Saul Niguez ahead of the coming summer transfer window but latest report claims that the deal could be hijacked as Man United have also entered the race.

It is reported that the Red Devils are encouraged by the fact that Man City seem to be withdrawing from the race as they have their attention more on the signature of Rodri Hernandez.

There is a need for manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to move in for more midfielders in his team with some of his players already speculated to be heading out of the club as soon as the season is over.

Ander Herrera is reported to have agreed on a pre-contract with French Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint Germain while France international midfielder Paul Pogba seems to be pushing for a move away after declaring his wish to play under football legend Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid.

However, the Red Devils have identified Saul Niguez as an ideal replacement and have been told they will have to pay the sum of £128 for his signature if they must land him this coming summer window.
