Unai Emery Confirms Transfer Interest In World Cup Winner

Arsenal boss Unai Emery has confirmed that his side are open to signing Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi before the end of the current window.

The Gunners have been active since the start of the window, making five major signings and could still be after a host of players, with reports that Emery wants a winger while he still on the lookout for defensive reinforcements.

Arsenal’s fragility in defence was once exposed during one of their preseason games against Premier League oppositions, Chelsea after Antonio Rudiger scored a free header from Cesc Fabregas’ corner-kick.

Following their eventual win over Chelsea, Unai Emery was asked about the possibility of signing N’Zonzi before the end of transfer business.

The Spaniard revealed that he is happy with his current crop of players although, he is open to bringing new faces if there is a good opportunity while reminding reporters that the likes of Lucas Torreira, Nacho Monreal, Granit Xhaka are still yet to join the first team.

Arsenal are believed to be considering a move for Bayern Munchen Winger,  Kingsley Coman but he may be pegged back by their absence in the Champions League.

They play Manchester City in their first game in the new Premier League season.
