Barcelona defender Yerry Mina has been consistently in the news in recent times due to his links with Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United.
The Colombian international has refused to rule out a move to Old Trafford this summer, dropping hints that he could actually become a red devil before the start of the upcoming premier league campaign.
United boss Jose Mourinho has made known his desire to sign a new defender before the end of this ongoing summer transfer window, and the Portuguese has reportedly made Tottenham’s Toby Alderweireld his most preferred target.
However, since the London club are trying to play hardball with Toby’s signature, Yerry has emerged as an alternative option for the Old Trafford outfit.
Mina had a superb World Cup outing with Columbia at Russia, where he was able to score three goals despite playing as a defender.
Speaking recently to newsmen, the 23-year-old was intentionally coy about where he would be next term.
Despite his impressive performances during the World Cup, it was claimed that Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde is not viewing him as an important player yet.
Having signed another defender already – in the person of Clement Lenglet, Barca are expected to allow Mina leave Camp Nou with no issues.
