Why Marko Grujic Could Leave Hertha Berlin In The Summer Revealed

Hertha Berlin chief Michael Preetz has confirmed that the club would like to sign Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic on a permanent basis after impressing at the German Bundesliga club.

Michael Preetz is the sporting director at German capital club Hertha Berlin.

Preetz spoke about Marko Grujic in his latest interview with German newspaper Kicker as he stated that Hertha Berlin officials are happy to have the player at the club.

The Hertha Berlin sporting director confirmed that they have been impressed with the young Serbian midfielder since he joined the club from Liverpool at the start of this season.

The 22-year-old has been in impressive form for Hertha Berlin despite the fact that his football development has been curtailed by injuries this season.

Marko Grujic was the first signing made by Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp who was appointed in October 2015.

Premier League leaders Liverpool paid £5m to secure his transfer from Serbian club Red Star Belgrade.

Marko Grujic has not been able to break into the first team at Anfield.

He spent last season on loan at Welsh club Cardiff City and also helped the Bluebirds gain promotion into the Premier League at the end of the last campaign before returning to Liverpool last summer.
