Revealed: What Man City Boss Told This Arsenal Talisman

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has claimed he only spoke about life in the United Kingdom with Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil after their match last Sunday.

The German playmaker and the City manager were spotted greeting and talking following the 2-2 draw between Manchester City and Arsenal at the Emirates which further fuelled speculations over the future of the 28-year-old.

However, Guardiola revealed he only spoke about life in the United Kingdom when he met Ozil, he said: “We chatted about our games in Madrid with Barcelona and how his life is in London,” (Football.London)

“He’s a fantastic player.”

There have been increasing speculations over the future of the 28-year-old due to his unwillingness to extend his contract at the Emirates, with reports that he will fancy a move away from the Gunners during the next summer window.

Pep Guardiola is believed to be also be an admirer of the midfielder’s qualities and might move for him next summer, in a bid to bolster his squad.

Despite the suggestions about his imminent departure, Ozil has insisted he will remain at the Emirates, but what is yet to known is whether the German will stay with the Gunners if Arsene Wenger does not sign a new contract at North London
