According to reports, the Manchester United board are in disagreement with Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho over his treatment of one of the players in his team this season.
And the player in question is left-back Luke Shaw, the Englishman has struggled for game-time under the former Chelsea coach and the manager publicly criticized the left-back earlier this week with harsh words after getting him dropped from his squad that played West Brom last week.
It was said that Shaw is now planning to leave Man United to Tottenham Hotspur. He reportedly desire reuniting with Mauricio Pochettino who was his former manager when he was still at Southampton.
However, it was reported that Man United board would rather have Luke to remain in Jose Mourinho’s team as they felt Shaw can still be a success at the Old Trafford club.
Back then in the 2014 summer transfer window, Manchester United chief Ed Woodward was desperate to get Shaw’s signature. Now, it was reported that the chief is not too happy that the Englishman is not making reasonable progress since he returned back from injury.
Mourinho, who stated earlier that Shaw is still far behind when compared with other of his role alternatives, needs to handle this issue with care, to avoid issues with Woodward, and avoid ruining Shaw’s confidence too.
