Report – Liverpool Close To Sealing Deal For Superb Star

It is glaring that Liverpool need to bring in a new midfielder before the end of this summer transfer window of which Jurgen Klopp has publicly admitted that he would like signing a new midfielder into his squad.

This season will obviously be a busy one for the Reds, coupled with Champions League football, and Klopp needs a handful of superb options in his team.

Brazilian midfielder Philippe Coutinho has handed in a transfer request to the club, and even the future of Emre Can is not yet settled at Anfield, with Juventus seemingly bent on bringing the German to Turin.

However, TMW are reporting that the Merseyside club are about to finalise a deal with French side OGC Nice for the transfer of their talented midfielder Jean Michael Seri this summer.

Last season in the French top flight, Seri was able to score 7 goals and helped his teammates with 9 assists to help his club book a spot in this season’s Champions League.

His superb performances at Nice has seen him emerging as a target for a handful of top clubs across Europe including Barcelona, AS Roma, Liverpool and Arsenal.

But it seems Liverpool have an upper hand to get the player’s signature for a fee worth €22.5m.

The reds have seen their bids for Naby Keita rejected by RB Leipzig and are putting their attention on other targets.
