Why Ramsey could not win over Arsenal

It has been suggested that Arsenal contract rebel Aaron Ramsey is unable to win over the club because he has lost his only ally who is the former Arsenal chief Ivan Gazidis.

With Ramsey looking like he wants to remain at the club after stating that he was ready for talks but there was no one to talk to, he would have been handed a chance if Gazidis was to be around.

The former Arsenal chief left the club to join Italian outfit AC Milan where he will also be taking a similar role at the club.

In a report by the Telegraph, Gazidis was interested in Ramsey’s stay and had submitted an offer for the Wales international which would have handed him a four-year deal but it was opposed by manager Unai Emery who thinks the player would have too much by the deal.

However, Ramsey has been officially told by the club that he will be leaving the club at the end of the season as a free agent while the club is reported to have begun moves for his replacement.

The former Cardiff City player has therefore been linked with a move to join Gazidis at AC Milan while Chelsea and Liverpool are also interested.
