West Ham United are plotting a shock move for Arsenal striker, Olivier Giroud, according to reports.
The French forward has fallen down the pecking order at the Emirates due to the brilliance of Alexis Sanchez last season and was benched for most parts of the campaign.
Giroud who has been criticised by sessions of Arsenal fans for his lacklustre displays since he joined from Ligue 1 side, Montpelier, has also hinted at a possible move away from the North London club this summer in search of better first team opportunities elsewhere.
When asked about his future he said: ‘I have had limited playing time for several reasons but that is not to say that I lost the confidence of the coach.
‘I will not be content with limited playing time next season.’
Reports in the London Evening Standard have it that West Ham United are planning to bring in Olivier Giroud this summer as they look to bolster their attack after a dismal campaign last time out.
The Hammers have also been linked with a £20million move for Nigerian forward, Kelechi Iheanacho and have also been tipped to move for Chelsea striker, Michy Batshuayi who might also be angling for a move away from the Stamford Bridge this summer.
