Philippe Coutinho hurt by Barcelona’s broken promises

Liverpool may have suffered a humiliating 5-0 thrashing to rivals Manchester City on Saturday afternoon, but at least they can have back Brazil international midfielder Philippe Coutinho, and UEFA Champions League football come Wednesday night.

Liverpool tactician Jurgen Klopp confirmed that Barcelona target Coutinho would return to his squad thinking for the visit of Spanish La Liga side Sevilla after the Liverpool playmaker returned to the Liverpool training ground at Melwood this week.

And, according to reports on Don Balon, the attacker has been left angry with La Liga side FC Barcelona after the Spanish giants failed to secure his services during the recently closed summer transfer window.

The South American burned many bridges with Reds supporters in trying to force the transfer, and, according to the same publication, he feels disappointed that the Catalan club failed to agree on the move for him.

And it’s also reported that the Brazilian could make life tough for FC Barcelona if they come back for his signature in January next year or next summer.

For now, Coutinho is a Liverpool player and fans at Anfield will be hoping the playmaker puts the summer transfer saga behind him and makes an immediate impact against La Liga side Sevilla on Wednesday.
