Manchester United Shows Interest To Snatch Portuguese Star From Liverpool’s Grip

According to new reports, Manchester United have also joined in the race to sign Sporting star player Gelson Martins.

Portuguese news outlet O Jogo says Liverpool have made an enquiry about the player’s availability as they seek for other options to Roma’s Mohamed Salah.

However, Jose Mourinho is reportedly set to challenge Liverpool as the Portuguese boss looks to bolster his attacking options ahead of his return to the Champions League next term.

Another Portuguese source A Bola also insists that even though Gelson has a £52.6 Million release clause in his contract, his club would accept a £44m offer for him.

It is understood that Jurgen Klopp has made the signing of an attacking winger one of his major priorities for the summer, but negotiations with Serie A side Roma for Mohamed Salah are not going too smoothly.

Even though Roma are compelled to selling one of their major players so as to meet Financial Fair Play regulations, the Italian club is yet asking for £35 million for Salah.

It was claimed that the Anfield club held talks with the Egyptian’s agent last week and that a £90,000-a-week contract has already been agreed by the player.

Both Manchester United and Liverpool can offer Martins premier league football, so we look on to who he will choose.
