Manchester United Obtained Double Injury Boost Ahead Of Tottenham Collision

Tottenham Hotspur faces Manchester United in a Premier League clash at Old Trafford come December 11. As it stands, both teams have been given a defensive injury boost for the game.

The Sun reported that Luke Shaw will be fit for the game while Tottenham Hotspur will have defender Ben Davies for the clash on Sunday.

Luke Shaw was in United’s 4-1 win over West Ham United in the EFL Cup quarter-final, but he was replaced at the break by Daley Blind. Afterwards, United’s boss Jose Mourinho confirmed the defender picked up an injury in his pre-match press conference before the Everton tie.

Shaw missed United’s 1-1 draw against Everton and Mourinho started Matteo Darmian in the left-back position instead. However, reports now have it that the 21-year old England international is fit to face Tottenham on Sunday.

Jose Mourinho will be pleased with Eric Bailly’s return from injury. The Ivory Coast international got injured in the red devils 4-0 defeat to Chelsea in October and he started for the first time in the Premier League side’s 2-0 Europa League win over Zorya Luhansk on 8 December, yesterday.

Luke Shaw and Eric Bailly’s return to face Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday will be a very big boost for United manager as he expects a pleasing result after the final whistle.

On the other hand, Ben Davies has also given Pochettino’s side a much needed injury boost to face Manchester United. Davies played last for his club in their 1-0 defeat to Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League where he picked up an ankle injury.
