Liverpool Set To Finalise Big-money Deal For Star Player In January

Liverpool star player Phillipe Coutinho has been heavily linked with a move away from Anfield, and it appears the Brazilian superstar is destined to leave the club next year.

According to reports, the Merseyside club have scheduled an important transfer meeting with Barcelona over the player in the first week of January.

It was also added that the La Liga heavyweights are keen on wrapping a deal quickly for the samba star.

Barcelona were strongly linked with the samba star for much of the summer, and Phillipe himself submitted a transfer request to force his way out of Anfield before the closure of the window.

Liverpool, however, refused to sell the Brazil international and they rejected every big-money deal Barcelona offered for the former Inter Milan player.

Coutinho has been superb for Liverpool since he returned back to Klopp’s team this season, but it appears his heart is already set on moving to Barcelona.

According to Sport, the Camp Nou club are finally reaching an agreement for a January transfer for the South American player.

The Spanish news outlet also added that the Catalan giants will try getting a deal done as early as possible before the closure of this winter transfer window, and will be holding a meeting with the player’s agent on Wednesday 3 January.
