Klopp Send Important Message To Liverpool Fans About Van Dijk

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is not taking seriously the price his side paid to get Virgil Van Dijk from Southampton this week.

The German boss claimed his side cannot control price tags in the market.

Liverpool fans all over the world were happy when the club announced that Virgil would become a Liverpool player next Monday. However, the Anfield club is being heavily criticised for the £75 Million paid for the Dutchman, which made him the most expensive defender in football history.

Some Man United fans have called Jurgen a hypocrite after the former Dortmund boss criticised the red devils for splashing huge cash on Paul Pogba last year.

However, the Liverpool manager is not bothered with the fee his side paid the Saints for Van Dijk’s signature, and he has told club fans to forget about the massive fee.

Speaking recently about the situation, Klopp told Liverpool fans that the defender caught his attention because of his quality and that Liverpool made the move to get his signature due to his quality.

“Supporters should forget about the price [paid for Van Dijk]” he said.

Van Dijk is expected to find his way straight away into Klopp’s starting XI at Anfield. The former Celtic defender is one of the best defenders in the world and is obviously much more better than the duo of Dejan Lovren and Joel Matip.
