Emerging reports from Spain reveals that Barcelona star Lionel Messi has urged the Spanish La Liga outfit to secure the signature of Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal in the coming summer window.
Nacho Monreal has longed been linked with a move away from the North London outfit with expectations that he would leave after the first half of the league in the January winter transfer window but that did not happen eventually.
The left full-back has been linked with a move to the Camp Nuo over the past weeks as a cover for Jordi Alba who recently is believed not to have a viable replacement at the club.
It is reported that the Argentina international prefers the North London outfit player as he is known to be experienced, having worked under former French manager Arsene Wenger and the new manager Unai Emery.
However, Nacho Monreal has been battling with injury issues and is believed to be close to leaving the club, knowing that he longer has the age at his advantage.
Suggestions are that the North London outfit will not stand in the way of the star and experienced player as they will be willing to let him leave for the right price.
