Manchester United star player Romelu Lukaku has sent warnings to league leaders Manchester City about the return of Swedish legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Lukaku believes Pep Guardiola should be scared that Zlatan is back to full fitness at Old Trafford, despite the citizens topping the premier league with eight points.
Ibra scored 28 goals in 46 appearances for the Old Trafford club last term, but a serious knee injury put his career on the pitch into big doubt.
However, the 34-year-old is hopeful of making his first-team return before January and is even expected to feature in the Champions League game against CSKA Moscow next month.
And speaking recently about Zlatan, Lukaku, who was signed from Everton during the summer transfer window, said the Swede’s return motivates him a lot because the former Barcelona centre-forward is ‘another good player to add to the squad.’
He also believes Ibra is coming back to help ‘chase Manchester City’ in the premier league.
Lukaku has been criticised harshly for his failure to score in his last seven games for his new club, but the Belgium international believes everything will be fine soon.
‘We can do much better than we are doing now.’ he said.
He will hope to end his goal drought when his side clash with Newcastle United at Old Trafford this Saturday.
