John Aldridge Sends Man United Message To Liverpool Ahead Of Vital Clash

Former Liverpool player John Aldridge believes Manchester United can put an end to his old club’s title hopes for this season if the red devils emerged victorious after the Anfield clash that will be played after the international break.

Liverpool opened the new season impressively and were able to beat Arsenal 4-0, following their fine performances during their preseason tour. They are however not having the best of their time after winning just three of their last seven games and are currently sitting in the seventh spot of the premier league table with 12 points.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are seven points behind both Manchester United and Manchester City, and former Liverpool man John Aldridge is worried about the October 14 meeting.

Speaking recently to the Irish Independent, John confessed he isn’t a fan of Jose Mourinho for ‘a variety of reasons’, but can’t shy away from the truth that the Portuguese manager is currently getting things right at Old Trafford and is winning lots of games.

He added that should Jose Mourinho’s side win Liverpool after the game next Saturday to establish a ten-point lead over the Merseyside club, ‘the game would already be up for Liverpool.’

While Liverpool struggled to get just two draws from three of their last premier league games, Manchester United won all of their three league meetings and thrashed Crystal Palace 4-0 last Saturday.
