Klopp Asks Liverpool Fans To Pardon Philippe Coutinho After Disappointing Saga

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has talked about the reason he thinks the reds fans should pardon Philippe Coutinho after the Brazilian made it known during the transfer window that he is no longer interested with Liverpool and desire moving to Barcelona.

Klopp says it should not be surprising that the talented midfielder would be tempted by an offer from the La Liga heavyweights, with the Camp Nou club identifying him as an appropriate long-term replacement for Andres Iniesta.

The player’s move to Spain was blocked by the Reds, who repeatedly insisted they would not be persuaded into selling the former Inter Milan player.

It is understood that the Merseyside club turned down fees as huge as £138million for Phil, and their German boss Jurgen now believes everyone should forget about all what happened during the transfer window and face the future ahead.

The ‘wise’ manager also gave some words of wisdom:

‘There are [really] so many worrying things that are happening in the world [currently] that you can be worried about all the time’

But as far as Countiho’s transfer saga is concerned, he said:

‘This is nothing.’

Liverpool will take on Sevilla next Wednesday at Anfield in a Champions League clash, and Countiho is expected to play for the reds after their 5-0 disappointing defeat to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City on Saturday at the Etihad Stadium.
