North London giants Arsenal have been handed a big boost following the news that utility player Ainsley Maitland-Niles is in contention for Leicester City clash.
Arsenal host the Foxes at the Emirates Stadium in a Premier League game to be played on Monday night.
The 21-year-old is expected to return for the game as the Gunners target a 10th win in all competitions and a 7th successive league victory.
The Arsenal player has been out of action since he fractured his leg in the North Londoners’ opening Premier League game of this campaign.
He suffered the injury during the game against the champions Manchester City which ended 2-0 in favour of the Citizens courtesy goals from English international winger Raheem Sterling and Portuguese playmaker Bernardo Silva.
Arsenal have missed the versatility Ainsley Maitland-Niles as he can play as a midfielder, left-back, right-back, left winger or right winger.
In his absence, Arsenal lost a second successive game against London rivals Chelsea at the start of the season before embarking on a nine-game winning run in all competitions, including six straight victories in the Premier League.
Maitland-Niles and his Arsenal teammates would be hoping to make it ten consecutive wins against Leicester City next week.
