Jose Mourinho Orders £60m Move For Powerful Midfielder, Fans Will Love Him

Manchester United could offer Tottenham £60million for Eric Dier

Manchester United have launched a £60 million move for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, Eric Dier, according to reports.

The English midfielder has been linked with a move to the Old Trafford with reports that United boss, Jose Mourinho views him as an ideal replacement for Michael Carrick who is expected to quit active football soon.

Reports in the Mirror claim that the Portuguese boss has told vice chairman Ed Woodward to offer Spurs a fee they will find hard to reject.

It is understood that Mourinho has set sights on signing a central midfielder following the arrivals of Victor Lindelof and Romelu Lukaku this summer.

Prior reports suggested that the Red Devils were preparing a £40 million bid for Dier but Tottenham were said to be confident on rejecting the move.

However, it is believed that the English midfielder is open to a move to the Old Trafford with reports that United are ready to offer him £150,000 per week to move to United.

Mourinho is understood to be keen on adding more steel to his midfield as he looks to consolidate the efforts of Paul Pogba and Ander Herrera in the midfield area.

There are reports that Chelsea will reject Manchester United’s advances for Nemanja Matic after they hijacked their bid for Romelu Lukaku.
