Inter Milan star player Joao Mario has been heavily linked with a move away from San Siro in recent times after he emerged as a target for premier league heavyweights Manchester United.
Going with the latest reports circulating in the media about him, we shouldn’t be surprised seeing him at Old Trafford this year.
On New Year Day, there were widespread speculations that the Old Trafford club are ready to pay £40M for his signature.
There are recent reports by corrieredellosport circulating currently in Italy that Inter Milan are ready to sell Joao to Manchester United in exchange for Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
The Armenia international has been in poor form this term and is currently not in the good books of manager Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.
Last year, similar things were reported by the Italian media – that the San Siro club wants Mkhitaryan, but will sell Mario for €45M if the Armenian won’t be included in the deal.
Joao is a talented versatile star who can play as a central attacking midfielder and can also effectively play in the wide positions if needed.
This season however, Joao has mainly warmed the bench at Inter Milan and has only started just five games, but has provided five assists.
