Jose Mourinho Is Keen On Signing This Promising Leftback Before End Of Transfer Window

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has prioritized the signing of Kieran Tierney before the end of the transfer window, according to a former Celtic striker, John Hartson.

The Hoops left-back has been tipped to become one of the best players in his generation due to his brilliance for the Scottish giants, sparking interest from a couple of clubs this summer.

Despite spending over £150million on transfers this summer, Hartson believes Mourinho is keen on signing Tierney who is seen as a vital addition for the future.

The Portuguese has continually revealed that he wants to sign another player before the end of the summer window and has been linked with moves for a couple of players, with the likes of Fabinho, Sergio Roberto, Ivan Perisic, Danny Rose and Thomas Lemar all tipped to make a late-move to the Old Trafford.

Hartson has claimed that Tierney could be United’s fall back option as the deal to sign Danny Rose looks increasingly unlikely to happen following reports that Tottenham Hotspur are unwilling to allow offload the star.

The former Celtic star told BBC’s Scottish Football Podcast that Manchester United are prioritising the signature of Tierney but insists Hoops boss Brendan Rogers should not allow the player leave just yet.
