Here Is The First Player Liverpool Are Likely To Sign During January Transfer Window

According to reports, premier league side Liverpool are preparing to bring Napoli star player Faouzi Ghoulam down to Anfield when the winter transfer window opens in January.

The Algerian player moved to the Italian club in 2014 from Saint-Etienne, and after making 146 appearances for the club, has evolved into one of the most important players at Napoli.

However, he is now strongly linked with a switch to the premier league when January comes.

It is understood that his talks with Napoli over a new deal have stalled, and that top European clubs who have been keeping tabs on him – including Juventus, Chelsea, Manchester City and Atletico Madrid – are now standing on their toes for what next will happen.

The Daily Express reported that Jurgen Klopp’s side are also set to launch a bid for the talented player as the German boss looks to reinforce his defense department.

Liverpool were very much linked with Southampton defender Virgil Van Dijk during the summer transfer window, but a move couldn’t materialise before the closure of the window. Although they are understood to remain keen on signing Van Dijk next year, it is not yet sure if his club will allow him to leave St Mary’s.

Liverpool have already conceded 12 goals this season so far in the premier league and will be clashing with in-form Manchester United at Anfield on Saturday.
