Leicester set to sell Mahrez to Arsenal for £40million under one condition

According to report, Arsenal have been handed the green light to sign long-term transfer target Riyad Mahrez with former Champions Leicester now ready to sell the attacker in the winter window.

The Metro claim the Algerian will be sold if the Foxes get a substantial bid for the attacking midfielder.

The playmaker has rediscovered his shape this term under new manager Claude Puel netting seven goals and providing seven assists so far.

Last campaign, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger bluntly denied having any interest in bringing in the Algerian, with the French tactician electing to keep Alexis Sanchez at the Emirates Stadium.

The Chilean was the subject of a £60million offer from table toppers Manchester City last term, and with Brazilian, Gabriel Jesus ruled out for about two months, it’s claimed that City will return for the forward in this winter transfer window.

This has opened the door for the Leicester City man to complete his huge move to a top six English Premier League team.

Italian Serie A side AS Roma failed with a £32million offer for the 26-year-old former African footballer of the year during the summer, with the foxes at the time demanding for about £40million for their star man.
