Emre Can set to complete transfer: Steven Gerrard seems to confirm switch

Former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard may have accidentally disclosed Emre Can’s prepared to complete a move away from the club following Juventus’ discussions with the midfielder.

Juventus in talks with Liverpool star

Juventus chief Beppe Marotta was recently cited in the Daily Mail as suggesting that his side had been in talks with the German, who will become a free agent next summer.

The Germany international midfielder would be a big loss for the Reds after his good form in the middle of the park this term, and the club legend may know something most fans don’t know due to his closeness with his former club.

Gerard confirm move

Sadly, it looks like he may have confirmed a bad news as he mistakenly said more than he may have planned in his analysis with BT Sport on Wednesday night.

The Reds take on Portuguese side FC Porto in the UEFA Champions League and Steven Gerrard was talking about the club’s midfield.

Of course, the former England international midfielder may not really know anything about the transfer deal and is perhaps only being pessimistic due to Can, 24, not yet signing a fresh deal, but that would look like an odd thing to presume whilst on Television analysis duty.
