Arsenal swoop in to sign midfield maestro

The search for a midfielder by north London outfit Arsenal still continues as they are now being linked with a move for Italian Serie A outfit Cagliari star Nicolo Berella.

The Gunners had indicated interest in the star player during the last January winter transfer window but a deal could not be reached for reasons that cannot be explained.

It has now become important for the Gunners team to land the star target as they have parted ways with Wales international Aaron Ramsey in this summer window.

The former Cardiff City star had refused to commit his future to the club before leaving as a free player.

However, Nicolo Barella could help Arsenal cover for the exit if the Wales international to ensure that he is not missed.

It is, therefore, claimed that Serie A side Inter Milan have already made a move for him as they seek to act fast and land the midfielder before Arsenal.

The report claims that Inter Milan have already had their bid of €36million submitted for the 22-year-old midfielder.

Barella, who has been compared with Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, is also wanted by Man United, while Chelsea were linked with the Italy international last season.
