Chelsea vs Derby County: Chelsea key trio likely to be unavailable

Chelsea will be back in action tomorrow when they play host to the championship club, Derby County in the Carabao League fourth round.

The Blues made it to the quarter-final of the league after they defeated Liverpool in the third round.

Chelsea will welcome their former star player, Frank Lampard back to Stamford Bridge but this time around as the opposing team coach.

The game is expected to be exciting because Derby County can put up an unexpected performance having defeated Man Utd in the third round.

However, Chelsea assistant coach, Gianfranco Zola in the pre-match statement issued today has disclosed that three key players are likely to miss tomorrow’s match against Derby County.

The three players are Eden Hazard, Olivier Giroud, and Pedro.

Eden Hazard has been unavailable in the Blues last two matches against BATE Borisov in the UEL and Burnley in the EPL having suffered a back injury.

However, Gianfranco Zola affirmed that Eden Hazard will be available for the match against Crystal Palace this weekend in the English Premier League.

Pedro picked up an injury during the match against Burnley on Sunday and was replaced by Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

However, Zola hinted that Ethan Ampadu could be available for the match against Derby County tomorrow.
