Abramovich Ready To Tell Star Player His Transfer Move Is Off

Chelsea are ready to tell Thibaut Courtois that his proposed transfer to Real Madrid is off, according to reports. The prolific shot-stopper has been tipped to leave Stamford Bridge this summer, in favour of a move to Real Madrid and has even told Chelsea to allow him to leave the club. It is understood that Courtois is ready to return to Spain in order to be close with his family in the Spanish capital. The goalkeeper who spent some time on loan at Atletico Madrid has become a celebrated hero in the Premier League due to his wonderful displays in between the sticks for Chelsea in the last four years. However, reports in the Daily Express claim that the Blues are now determined to block Thibaut Courtois’ move to Real Madrid, because the Premier League giants are not happy with Real Madrid’s valuation of the keeper, which is believed to be around £35 million. The Chelsea’s decision is said to be triggered that Liverpool’s £67 million purchase of Alisson from Roma earlier this summer, coupled with the fact that the Blues have not been able to find a viable option to replace Courtois in the goal. The Stamford Bridge side were believed to have approached Jan Oblak and Kevin Trapp, but had their moves rejected by the clubs involved. Everton have also decided against selling Jordan Pickford this summer.
