Chelsea locked in talks with Premier League side for star player’s move

Premier League Champions Chelsea and AFC Bournemouth are allegedly discussing a move for talented defender Dujon Sterling.

As per a report from the Daily Mail, the West London club are ready to let the wonderkid leave the side on loan in the New Year, with Premier League side AFC Bournemouth waiting to sign him.

Sterling, 18, is held in very high regards at Stamford Bridge and the side are evidently interested in him to move away and gather first-team football experience somewhere else.

The teenager recently signed a new and improved contract at the club, which is expected to keep him at the West London club until the summers of 2022.

It’s suggested that Sterling is ready to have bids from teams in the second tier of English football, Championship, but the chance to play for a top side in the English Premier League is certainly a tempting one for the full-back.

The Blues are well stocked with several options at the back, therefore it is very unlikely that the starlet will be given many first-team playing chance under Italian tactician Antonio Conte this campaign.

The starlet is behind Nigeria international Victor Moses and Italian Davide Zappacosta in the pecking order at Chelsea but wants regular game time.
