Why Arsenal will end up missing out on Carrasco

Arsenal’s interest in Yannick Carrasco is no longer news with reports that the north London side will table a bid to land him in this winter transfer window.

However, with the North London side already preparing a bid to land the star player, suggestions are that they might be discouraged by the weekly wages demanded by the player.

The 27-year-old is understood to be receiving the sum of £170,000-a-week at the Chinese Super League side Dalian Yifang and may not be willing to take any cut in his wages.

This suggestion comes after Arsenal manager Unai Emery made it clear that the club do not intend to sign players permanently this winter window but assured that there will be some additions on a temporal basis.

This therefore hints that Yannick Carrasco would not be in the plan of the club this winter window as the club might not be willing to pay such an amount for him.

It would be recalled that the reason why Wales international Aaron Ramsey refused to agree on a deal with the Gunners because of the weekly wage which was too much to bear for the club.

However, Emery assured fans that the club are already working on deals and expected to have new additions this winter window.
