Arsenal scouts storm Germany for Shkodran Mustafi’s replacement

English Premier League outfit Arsenal are in the summer transfer market to secure a replacement for Shkodran Mustafi after a disappointing last season.

Arsenal conceded a total of 50 goals in the just-concluded season which made manager Unai Emery decide to leave some of his defenders out of the team while he brings in new and fresh legs.

However, the Gunners are reported to have sent scouts to watch German Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano in a bid to land him this summer transfer window.

Arsenal had earlier considered the signature of Spanish La Liga outfit Barcelona outcast Samuel Umiti but he seems to not be interested in a move to the Emirates Stadium and there might not be enough funds to land him if he were to be available.

However, Dayot Upamecano has been one of the best in the Bundesliga outfit this season which makes the Spanish manager interested in his signature.

The France U-21 player is just 20-years old and has shown good quality which ranks him as a player with big potential at his age. he could learn fast in the English Premier League.

It is claimed that Dayot Upamecano seeks to play in the English League and that has contributed to why he is yet to hold talks of a contract renewal as his current deal is set to expire in 2021.
