Good news for Arsenal fans as top transfer target drops major hint

Since Thursday, Arsenal supporters worldwide are loving Thomas Lemar’s internet activity as he drops major transfer hint.

According to The Guardian, the Frenchman was a €100m transfer focus for the Gunners last summer, however, the move fell through as Manchester City target Alexis Sanchez remained in north London.

With the Chilean and colleague Mesut Ozil still yet to sign new contracts, the Gunners may well arrange for the future without them, and that is the place Lemar comes in and fill a noteworthy void.

The 22-year-old hasn’t really recreated his shape from last season, as he scored 14 goals and made 17 assists in 55 matches to warrant the enthusiasm from Arsenal over during the summer.

Injury have limited him this season, however, as he’s only scored one goal and made four assists in 16 matches.

Lemar apparently liked an Instagram post saying ‘Welcome to Arsenal’, and it wasn’t some time before fans saw it and started to remark on his choice.

It remains to be seen if or not this is a true insight into where he sees his playing future, but only time will tell if a deal is reached between the Gunners and French Ligue 1 side AS Monaco over a fee, before personal terms is negotiated.
