Manchester City target Alexis Sanchez handed Arsenal fans a huge boost by participating in full training this afternoon – and then working out heavily in the gym.
The former Barcelona star may not be available to feature in Saturday’s game against Stoke, but he is working very hard to return to full fitness after an abdominal problem.
No doubt the forward is working hard, judging by his latest Instagram post which was uploaded from Arsenal’s training ground.
Sanchez is shown topless in a video that lasted for 14 seconds recovering his breath heavily having just concluded a vigorous workout.
The video was uploaded at around 2 pm, so the Chilean still has plenty of time to travel with the team to the Potteries.
However, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has hinted that the away trip to Merseyside to face Liverpool next weekend would be a likely date for the Chilean’s return.
The Chilean has not played this season due to an abdominal problem he sustained soon after he returned from his summer break.
The abdominal injury saw him miss the FA Community Shield win over City rivals Chelsea and the thrilling 4-3 win against Leicester on the opening day of the new English Premier League season.
The 28-year-old is into the final 12 months of his Arsenal contract and is thought to want to join Premier League rivals Manchester City, for a reunion with former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola.
