Alexis Sanchez confirmed out!

It has been confirmed that Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez will miss the opportunity to face his former side Arsenal on Wednesday.

Both long-term rivals will clash at the Old Trafford in the Premier League tie but a major figure, the Chile international will be missing in the game.

Sanchez is reported to have sustained a hamstring injury with fears that he could miss as many as 10 games this season.

The former Barcelona man joined the Old Trafford in January this year from the Emirates Stadium but has not performed as expected by his employers.

Sanchez has seen just seven starts since joining the Red Devils having failed to impress under the Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho.

Pundits are of the opinion that the Chile forward is playing under a wrong system, stressing that the defensive approach under the former Chelsea boss is not his style.

It has been argued that Sanchez has lost expression, different from the kind of player he used to be at the North London club as well as at the Spanish La Liga.

However, both sides will seek to win the title with the Gunners boss having a point to prove in the game to establish that his side now have a new and big mentality.
