Freddie Woodman

Emerging report says Leeds have almost completed the signing of Arsenal goalkeeper target Freddie Woodman from Newcastle on a loan move with an agreement already reached between both parties.

A report according to The Bristol Post reports that the player will head to the Championship side to continue his season in coming weeks when the winter transfer window eventually reopens.

The North London side were earlier reported to be seeking for a backup goalkeeper with Freddie Woodman identified as a perfect fit for the club in addition to having a future with his big potentials.

However, with the latest report, it seems the player is unwilling to return to the bench at the Emirates Stadium and has therefore accepted to move to the Championship where he will secure starting roles to help his development as a young goalkeeper.

Arsenal seem to have gotten a good solution in the goalkeeping department with the coming of Bernd Leno from German Bundesliga outfit Bayer Liverkusen in the last summer as he has been able to pull outstanding performances so far.

He initially started from the bench behind Petr Cech but that has since changed with manager Unai Emery admitting that the German star is his first choice.
