Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has been named in the FIFA team of the week alongside Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley.
Lacazette had scored a brace in Arsenal’s 5-1 thrashing of Fulham at the weekend with his stylish strike and that earned him 86 points in the rating.
The Arsenal striker has scored 5 goals in all competitions this season and has been consistent with his fine form.
The Frenchman was initially coming in from the bench in the Unai Emery team but the Spanish manager had to adjust after seeing the form of the former Lyon player.
He is joined by Ciro Immobile of Lazio who scored 88 in the rating and Inter Milan’s Mauro Icardi with 88 points also as strikers.
Meanwhile, former Arsenal goalkeeper, David Ospina, Napoli made it as FIFA’s goalkeeper of the week with 82 points.
Benedikt Howedes (Lokomotive), Matthijs de Ligt (Ajax) and Ruben Dias (Benfica) all made it as defenders with 84, 83, 82 points repsctively.
Chelsea’s Barkley, Hulk (Shanghai SIPG), Marcel Sabitzer (RB Leipzg) and Kylian Mbappe (PSG) with 82, 84, 84, 88 points respectively all made it as midfielders.
However, Arsenal hope the Frenchman’s form continues as the Spanish manager plan to change the narrative about the North London club.
