Should Abramovich pay more than £50 million for Genoa star?

The Blues have been linked with moves to sign new strikers that can score goals.

One of the strikers Chelsea are hoping to sign is Krzysztof Piatek, who currently plays for Genoa.

But Chelsea will be faced with stern competition from other big clubs in Europe which include the likes of Barcelona, AC Milan, Juventus among others.

Krzysztof Piatek came into the limelight this season after his high goal scoring performances for Genoa.

Genoa have disclosed that they are not ready to sell but would so if they get a good price.

At the moment an auction bid is going on over the player with Genoa claiming they have received a bid of £50 million for the Poland International.

This amount, however, looks too much considering the fact that Krzysztof Piatek just made it to the limelight and has not been a regular goalscorer in the past.

We are however uncertain if Chelsea will be able to pay any amount above £50 million for the youngster even though they have the resources to foot the bill considering the influence of their Billionaire owner, Roman Abramovich.

The Blues are keen on signing a new striker in January since the duo of Morata and Giroud have failed to perform.
