Why Leicester win was difficult, Emery

Arsenal manager Unia Emery has admitted that his side’s 3-1 win against Leicester City was quite difficult.

Arsenal came from a goal down to secure a convincing win, all thanks to goals from Mesut Ozil and Pierre Emerick- Aubameyang.

In his post-match reaction, Emery said some of the key players were injured which forced others to play certain roles they were not used to, citing the unavailability of Nacho Monreal and Sead Kolasinac, forcing Granit Xhaka to play in the left-back position in the final hour of the game.

Emery who explains his frustration disclosed that he had done group work with the players before they became unavailable for the game.

However, the Spanish manager hopes the injured players return soon as his side prepares for Thursday’s Europa League game with hope to stretch the winning streak to 11.

Emery reveals that Sokratis has started training and could be back for Thursday game but noted his desire to have his players rest for the coming games.

The former PSG boss, therefore, hints that preparation for his side continues as he hopes to improve, not minding what the records say.

The North London club have now won a total of ten goals in a row with the Spanish boss looking forward to extending it.
