How Arsenal got it all wrong with Cazorla decision

Former Arsenal player, Santi Cazorla has left the Emirates after a quiet successful spell at the club.

Although, fans at the Emirates Stadium did not see enough of the of the playmaker in his last two years at the club due to an injury that kept him away.

With his recovery in the summer, Arsenal made a decision to let Cazorla go unceremoniously despite his willingness to stay and Villarreal decided to take the gamble of signing the Spaniard.

Cazorla will always be remembered for helping the Gunners secure their first FA Cup trophy since 2005, in addition to his fine attacking football which was a threat to the opponents.

The ankle operation that was failing regularly due to bacteria that was eating the skin of the Spaniard was the devil that almost ended the career of such a beautiful footballer.

The flare missing in the Arsenal midfield since his departure would have been much available should he remain at the club, a development that would have made the Gunners more brutal in their attack.

Since his arrival at Villarreal, Cazorla has started all three games and would have been more impactful with Arsenal knowing the connection between him and the fans.
