Chelsea set to recall 21-year-old talent for this main reason

According to media reports, Premier League giants Chelsea are ready to recall youngster Charly Musonda from his loan deal at Scottish club Celtic due to a lack of playing opportunities at the SPL club.

ESPN is claiming that Chelsea are disappointed at the Belgian’s lack of regular first-team football after his transfer to the SPL Champion on an 18-month loan deal in the winter transfer window.

The same report states that the Blues believe the young talent needs regular playing time so as to continue his development.

As per the same report, Chelsea rejected a couple of bids in favour of sending the 21-year-old to Celtic in the last transfer window.

The wonderkid has played six matches across all competitions for the side under former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers.

The Belgium U-21 international has scored a goal in seven matches across all competitions for the Blues over the last two campaign.

Antonio Conte’s side have won the English Premier League title in the last three campaigns following top-flight successes under Portuguese tactician Jose Mourinho and his Italian successor.

The West London club signed Everton midfielder Ross Barkley, Roma defender Emerson Palmieri and Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud in the winter transfer window.
