How much more transfer business will Chelsea manager Antonio Conte get to do before the summer transfer window slams shut?

The Italian tactician will undoubtedly be ramping up the pressure on the Chelsea board on Saturday evening after the Blues were beaten 3-2 by Burnley at the Bridge in the opening fixture of the new campaign.

The former Juventus manager has only managed to sign striker Alvaro Morata, midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, and defender Antonio Rudiger this summer, while they all replaced outgoing stars: John Terry, Nemanja Matic, and Spaniard Diego Costa.

On Saturday, news outlet, the Telegraph has linked the Italian with a lot of possible transfer deals, as Conte could hijack transfers from Spurs and Liverpool, while Leicester City’s Danny Drinkwater remains a prime target.

Antonio Conte’s need for new options in Central midfield was heightened in the Burnley match as Spaniard Cesc Fabregas was red carded.

Danny Drinkwater has been strongly linked with Chelsea earlier in the summer window, while the Foxes has batted away offers from Chelsea.

According to the Telegraph, Chelsea will table a second offer for Leicester City midfield maestro Danny Drinkwater in the coming week as they try to make at least three new signings before the summer transfer window shuts.

The Blues are preparing a second bid that is likely to be worth more than £25m for the 27-year-old Englishman.
