AC Milan have had a very impressive summer transfer market so far as they bought 10 new players including Donnarumma, Conti, Musacchio, Bonucci, Ricardo Rodriguez, Kessie, Biglia, Calhanoglu, Borini and André Silva, and they are not done just yet.
Fassone and Mirabelli claim that Milan are still looking for a few more players as their hunt for a goal poacher continues.
As per Evening Standard, it looks as if AC Milan are still working with Premier League Champions Chelsea for Diego Costa.
The Blues are willing to let the Spaniard leave Stamford Bride, but Fassone and Mirabelli told Chelsea that they would only be interested in signing the striker if he arrives on a permanent transfer. AC Milan do not want to sign him on loan as it has been reported that the Spaniard is waiting for Atletico Madrid’s transfer embargo to be lifted (as he would like to return to Madrid).
The latest report indicates Chelsea are considering a personal fitness regime for the wantaway striker as his exit from Chelsea edges closer.
Costa’s career at the Bridge is over, and manager Antonio Conte has already told the Spaniard he will not be allowed to train alongside Chelsea’s first team at their Cobham training base.
The striker is yet to return for pre-season training at the club, but with La Liga club Atletico Madrid and Serie A side AC Milan hopeful of signing him this summer transfer window, Chelsea are set to send the 28-year-old on a special training programme until a deal is agreed.
