Chelsea Wants To Beat Manchester United To This £13k-a-week Midfield Marshall

Chelsea are pushing to beat Manchester United to the signature of AS Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, according to reports.

It is understood that Antonio Conte is keen to add more players to his squad despite their current impressive feats in the Premier League. The Italian boss is said to be in the transfer market for several players next summer, after confirming that he will bring in new faces to replace some of the players that left Stamford Bridge.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Chelsea are considering a summer move for the French midfielder, who is also a subject of transfer from Manchester United, with reports that Jose Mourinho is also keen on adding Bakayoko to his midfield.

The midfielder has been a key figure at Monaco, who are currently topping the Ligue 1 table  and also in the semi-finals of the Champions League.

It is understood that Chelsea and Manchester United are both keen admirers of Tiemoue Bakayoko and even sent scouts to watch him during Monaco 3-1 win over Manchester City.

In related news, Chelsea are on the verge of selling Cesc Fabregas to AC Milan with reports of success talks over a move for the Spaniard, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The midfielder has endured a torrid time with the Blues this season, making 15 appearances under Antonio Conte.
