Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has revealed that there are plans to sign more players next transfer window.
The Reds have been linked with several targets in the summer transfer window, with suggestions that Jurgen Klopp is keen on bringing players to his current squad after getting worried by his players’ performances in the season.
Liverpool have been plagued with number of injuries and defensive fralities this season which has derailed their title hopes so far.
Talking about his current injuries and need to bring in new faces to Anfield next season, Jurgen Klopp said: “We are not surprised when Mane is sidelined, Lallana is sidelined, Henderson is sidelined, Sturridge is sidelined – we are not surprised about this [lack of depth of the bench].
“It was unlucky that all at the same moment we cannot use them.
“We still could have won the game, that’s how it is. We will learn, we are working on strengthening the squad, that’s clear.
“We can’t create a situation where great players can’t play any time. We had to create a squad for this season.
“The average age of the bench (last weekend) was 19.2 – not too experienced. With too many injuries we’ve had some problems.”
