Juan Mata Delivers His Honest Verdict On Chelsea Vs Man United Draw In FA Cup

United Star Makes Honest Admission About Chelsea v Man United

Juan Mata admits that his side will definitely face a serious test of their FA Cup credentials against the blues next month

Manchester United star player Juan Mata has admitted that his club are set to have their work cut out if they desire to beat Chelsea and reach the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

The Old Trafford club secured their spot in the last eight of the cup competition on Sunday afternoon following their 2-1 win over Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.

The red devils were then pitted against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the next round.

And Mata, even though admitting that the tie will be a difficult one, is confident that Man United have what it takes to progress to the next stage.

The former Chelsea star writing in his personal blog said: “We were just leaving Ewood Park when we knew through the social networks our rival in the last eight: Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

“Needless to say, it is going to be another special game for me.

“This is, without a doubt, one of the most complicated ties we could have, but we will go there with the big motivation of earning a ticket to Wembley and forget the bad taste of our last visit to Stamford Bridge.”

Earlier this season when Chelsea hosted Manchester United at the Stamford Bridge in a premier league game, the West London club trashed Mourinho’s side 4-0 in the encounter.

Following their brilliant start to the new campaign under their new Italian boss Antonio Conte, the Stamford Bridge club are currently the heavy favorites to win the Premier League title this season.

The former Juventus manager was named as Jose Mourinho’s permanent successor last summer at Chelsea with recent rumors spreading that he has signed a deal that expires in 2020 with the blues.
