United consider another Argentine as Mourinho’s replacement

Another Argentina manager Diego Simeone is being considered by English Premier League side Manchester United as a replacement for their sacked coach Jose Mourinho.

The Red Devils sacked the Portuguese boss late last year for failing to pull out good results and recording the worst start in 28 years of the club’s history.

However, the Red Devils had appointed a former player Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as the interim coach that will take charge at the club for the rest of the season but they are still keen to land a long-term successor who would take charge at the end of the season.

This makes the Old Trafford side to consider Diego Simeone as they hope to tempt him away from the Spanish La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid.

This is coming after it was reported that Atletico Madrid are in talks with Diego Simeone in a bid to have his contract with the club extended for another 18 months with an improved deal.

That will not stop the Red Devils for going all out to submit a bid for the Argentina international as they are desperate for a world class manager.

It is therefore not sure if Diego Simeone would be released by his club as they are keen to retain him.
